Cold Nights, Food Cravings, Concerts

November.

The start of November was good, although it became really cold and really dark quickly over the past few weeks. It’s probably because reports say that UK is expecting a ‘harsh winter’ and it’s becoming colder every single day. It’s usually hard to go to class in the morning because it’s freezing that even my thickest jacket can’t keep me warm. Yet I still see some locals wearing cargo shorts – for guys, and skirts or dresses for girls. How do they even do it? They get sick though. Some even for a few weeks and yet they still like to dress as if they are not affected by the cold. I mean c’mon you don’t have to pretend.

So people in class have been coughing and sneezing, and I hate it. I can feel the sickness creeping up my body. Luckily, I haven’t been sick here yet, despite the weather.

To top it off, I’ve been craving filipino food for the past few days! I haven’t had chicken adobo for 2 months now. I miss sinigang and kare-kare. I can try making those here but Chester has very limited filipino products, very rare even. It’s not a filipino dish if it’s not complete. I’ve been missing the flavours that filipino dishes have. The playfulness of different flavours in your mouth. Ugh, why.

On the brighter side, I’m going to a concert! Pop Punk’s Not Dead Tour 2014. Awesome.

The line up (I don’t know the particular order, though):

State Champs

The Story So Far

Candy Hearts

Only Rivals

New Found Glory (Main Act)

I am also trying to get tickets to Reading or Leeds festival! I hope the line up for those festivals are as awesome as last year. I would spend a lot on either one of the festival.

I guess that’s all for tonight. I’ll leave you with NFG and let’s go old school.
