Heart’s Day

Happy heart’s day wordpress!

I’m not really into the whole valentine-day thing.
I just don’t get the whole day. I mean, why wait until February 14 to show someone that you love them so much, no words can exactly express it. Why does it have to be on this exact day? Why can’t it be heart’s day every time? Right?
I don’t get the whole concept of this day.
It’s sort of ridiculous in a way, I don’t know. It’s just me, I guess. I’m not bitter or anything. It’s just that we could have ‘heart’s day’ any time we want to, all it takes is effort.

Anyway, even if I’m not into that whole bears-and-flowers-and-sweets and stuff, I’d still like to say, happy heart’s day! I hope your hearts are doing well, and well, healthy.
Here’s a wonderful heart’s day song from Kina Grannis.

My date tonight is composed of a really good book, a cup of tea or maybe coffee, and in my wonderful soft bed. Cheers!

The thing about soundtracks is that it acts as support for the message that the movie was trying to convey. It sort of plays with your emotions a little bit, and appeals to you – like how every other song does, but it is used in a movie to capture something specific.

I feel really special every time I discover new soundtracks – even if I’m not the first one ever to do so, it’s just a personal thing for me. The feeling I get when I discover something for myself, and I get a little selfish about it at times.

So, I’ve just finished watching Stuck In Love. I really liked the soundtrack.

By the way, I would like to thank Keilah for letting me know that the soundtrack was good beforehand. However, I watched the movie first so that I would get to experience myself how good the soundtrack was. And it is freakin’ awesome.

Yes, on to the soundtrack then.

The first song I really liked was when Logan Lerman and Lilly Collins were in the car sharing their favorites with each other – and out comes this song by Elliot Smith titled Between The Bars.

Then we have, Will You Be By Me by Wallpaper Airplanes

There you go. It’s a pretty good movie as well. It was honest, interesting, and I don’t know. I don’t think I’m even capable of finding more words to describe it. Enjoy!

9 February 2014

Sorry about the title, I can’t think of one to completely capture the contents of this post as a whole.

Reading: City Of Bones

So far, I’ve read half of the book, and I can’t seem to find the time to finish it because of well, TV series. But I’m really determined to finish it within this month. Then move on to City of Ashes – which I’ve recently acquired. It was so hard to find a copy of the succeeding books in The Mortal Instruments series, probably because of the movie. But sadly, as always, the book is still better than the movie. I don’t know, it’s just me.

Playlist: A combination of Arctic Monkeys & Green Day

Can’t seem to get the song Mardy Bum from the Arctic Monkeys out of my head. It’s so catchy and I love the lyrics of the song. Then, I keep playing R U Mine?  also from the Arctic Monkeys; Nuclear Family  Green Day; Lazy Bones – Green Day; and lastly, Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High – Arctic Monkeys.

Watching: Supernatural Season 2

I KNOW. I have a long way to go, but I’ve finished S4 already. I didn’t have the copy of S2 last week, so I thought I would still understand S4 without watching the second and third season. I got bits and pieces figured out, however, if you like the details like I do, I’d still watch it completely. So, wasted no time and bought S2 and S3.

School Related Stuff:

Almost finished with my Financial Systems & Accounting term paper – the first one at least. Haven’t started with Working With And Leading People’s term paper, which is due on the 21st by the way – so get on it already, my inner voice tells me. Anyway, I have research project, which is the longest one of them all. So yeah, that’s about it.

What have you guys been up to?

Song #22?

I kind of forgot how many songs I’ve posted, so I’m assuming that we’re already on the 22nd song. Well, songs. I couldn’t choose which one and they are all really good.

First up is Hardwell ft. Matthew Koma’s Dare You. I like the message in the song. It’s daring us individuals to do the things that we are uncertain of – whatever it may be. So DARE to go out and have fun in the middle of our stressful life!

Up next is Youth by Foxes. I must say, she has a very pretty voice. It’s pretty classic and modern at the same time, I don’t know. It’s just pretty, okay? Lol. I liked Foxes by the time FOB released their video for Just One Yesterday, which is also cool but, c’mon, FOB has their own special playlist on my iPod. Lol

Lastly, Youth by Daughter. Okay, no, I’m not obsessed with the word ‘youth,’ it just so happens they are both titled with that. I like the sound of this song.

Okay, back to my Financial and Accounting Systems paper work. Cheers!
